Sir Trevor Chinn CVO has enjoyed a distinguished career in the automotive and transport industries, spanning over five decades. Sir Trevor was Chairman of the AA and Kwik-Fit, (both former CVC portfolio companies) between 2002 and 2007.He was also former Chairman of RAC Plc where he retired from the board in 2003 after 48 years of service. He is currently Senior Advisor to CVC since 2004.
His commitment to public service extended into charitable work. He served as Chief Barker of the Variety Club, during which he led the initiative to build a new children’s hospital on the roof of King’s College Hospital. He was a Trustee of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and chaired its Friends group. Additionally, he was Vice Chair of both the Wishing Well Appeal for Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Royal Academy Trust, as well as Vice Chair of Hampstead Theatre.
Throughout his career, Sir Trevor has demonstrated exceptional leadership across both commercial and charitable endeavours, leaving a lasting impact on the sectors and causes he has supported. He was awarded the CVO in 1989 and a knighthood in 1990 for his charitable activities.
