If you would like a mentor (or you are interested in finding one for your child), you need to read this section about how we work with what we call ‘Youth Partners’ so that young people aged under 18 can safely have their own mentor.
If you are already 17 – and especially if you’re not far away from your 18th birthday – bear in mind that as soon as you turn 18 you can sign up for a mentor independently here .
If you are aged between 14 – 17 your mentoring relationship must be facilitated by a Youth Partner.
We have quite a lot of Youth Partners programmes in Greater Manchester, London, and the Cardiff Capital Region. We already have some programmes in other parts of the UK and will continue to expand into other areas.
If you are in Greater Manchester, London or the Cardiff Capital Region and interested in having a mentor, you can reach out to us and/or talk to the ‘right person’ in your school, college or youth group. There is a form and some information in the “what to do next” section to help you do this.
If you are in any other part of the UK, please let us know that you are interested by using the form in the “what to do next” section. We can’t promise we’ll be able to get one started immediately, but we will see if there’s a way we can set up a programme that you can be a part of.
