Oreoluwa Oniye is a Year 13 student who is recent mentee and current 1MM ambassador. Working with 1MM greatly improved her confidence, leading her to discover her passion for public speaking. Since then, social interaction is slowly becoming more natural, allowing her to use her skills to connect with possible mentors while simultaneously studying for her A-level exams. Despite her age, Ore tries to stay involved with the organisation as much as possible; pushing the narrative that young people should also be present in impactful positions. Having a teenager as an ambassador provides insight into what young people may want from our mentoring, therefore making the experience as beneficial as possible for all.
